What do you do now that things are pretty much unstable? Companies are closing down and millions are losing their jobs.

It's the worst one yet, and nobody really knows when things get better. The good news is that people are trying to do something about it. They're looking for ways to save their companies from closing down and saving their people's jobs. Still, as long as the economy's unstable, you can't be certain about your future.

Unemployment is currently one of the most pressing problems we have. You have to work twice as hard just to prove that you are worthy of your job.

You need to make the upper management realize that you are an integral member of the organization because you have the skills suited for your job; skills that help the organization grow.

You can easily become a valuable asset if you just know how to show off your talents. It's time to hone in on your best attributes and bring your assets to the job.

If you've disappointed your colleagues too many times, it's difficult to regain the good reputation you once had. Many of the people at work assume that you are already one thing, and any kind of effort you might make might be misconstrued.

That is why you must be utterly careful and make sure that you try not to offend anyone at work. If you are sincere with your efforts, people will realize that they can trust you with work. Being authentic can be very stimulating and a marvelous boost to your career life.

Play off this strength and be secure with what you can do. If there's something you don't know, it always helps to ask for help. People will definitely respect you for your candor.

You can constantly be at your finest if you recognize what you need to experience to become a great asset. Seize opportunities as you see them. If this is your one chance to show off your skills, don't let fear stop you.

You can display your ability without sounding like you're a braggart. Look for opportunities to volunteer and make sure that you go through the process with care.

Optimism always helps. Have the winner's attitude, but as much as you keep your head above the clouds, keep your feet on solid ground. Know what energizes you and see how you can work your way around a situation.

Everything has a solution and all you need to do is patience. After all, success never comes easy. You need to work hard in order to become somebody. People don't count the number of hours you put in. What is most important is the number of times you are able to do something well.

Zone in on your strengths and know how you can achieve something worthwhile. Use your abilities whenever you can and go beyond what is expected. Don't sit back and wait for things to happen to you.

Bosses appreciate an employee with the initiative to find tasks. Those who go out of their way to learn something new will always be appreciated. Basically, you need to find ways to make the management feel that you can highly contribute to the company's overall success.
